Best Season
October through April. Summer (May–September) is hot, at midday. If you are visiting in summer, departures are earlier and the pace is gentler.
Physical Demands
4–5 km of walking in the Old City on uneven stone surfaces, often in heat or direct sun. Some standing at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Participants should be able to walk without assistance. Contact us before booking if you have mobility concerns, we can arrange a gentler-pacing variant or a private tour.
What to Wear
Modest dress required at all religious sites. For women: covered shoulders and knees. For men: long trousers and shirts with sleeves. A head covering for the Western Wall is provided at the site if you don't bring one. Comfortable walking shoes, you will be on stone surfaces for most of the morning.
Currency
Shekels (ILS) for personal purchases. Most restaurants and shops accept cards. Tipping is in cash, shekels or USD, both are fine.

What Pilgrims Say
"We booked this for our cruise stop at Ashdod and it was the highlight of the trip. Our guide knew exactly how to pace the day, enough structure to see everything, enough time at each stop that it didn't feel like a photo sprint. The Western Wall at 10am and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre when the morning light comes through the windows, those are moments that stay with you."
— Couple, 50s (via Viator verified review)"I'm not someone who usually does group tours, but this worked. 10 people, small enough to move quickly, big enough to feel social. The guide was clearly someone who lives in Jerusalem, not someone who learned it from a script. The lunch was at a real restaurant, not a tourist place. I'd do it again if we ever port in Ashdod."
